How big are the groups?

Generally between 4-6 students, but classes are always capped at 10 students maximum to ensure a more personal learning environment.

How do you teach groups?

During sessions, everyone has a chance to share ideas and we work with students individually whilst assigning the group with a main task. This allows us to have everyone working at their own pace, with no one being left behind.

What topics are covered?

Children learn reading and writing together at school, so your child will learn both of these skills simultaneously. We work on building all of the skills and topics that will be tested in 11+ English and Maths assessments.

How long does the course run for?

The course runs continually with new content each week based on the National Curriculum and the content tested in independent and grammar school exams. As exams for school entrance are throughout the year, we run the sessions continually. We appreciate you have holidays and students sometimes need some downtime, so if you do need to pause tuition for a couple of weeks over the holidays, you are welcome to!

Which exam boards is this suitable for?

The course is suitable for all exam boards and UK school consortiums.

My child is only doing multiple choice assessments - will you teach multiple choice?

Whilst we don’t have lessons working on multiple choice papers, our methodology is to teach students how to respond to texts, getting them up to speed with using inference, prediction, retrieval and summarising skills, which are all required to be demonstrated in multiple choice assessments.

How long do we commit for?

You would commit for 12 weeks minimum so we can ensure your child has improved in this time. The course will then continue for as long as you wish to on a month on month basis. We continually create new content and lessons so your child will never sit the same class twice.

What is 11+ Maths Mastery? How do I join?

The 11+ Maths Mastery course includes two weekly one-hour classes working on all the core skills in elements of 11+ Maths. We teach subjects according to the UK National Curriculum and our knowledge of 11+ Maths papers.

The lessons are on Wednesdays at 5:30pm-6:30pm and Fridays at 5:00pm-6:00pm and include a weekly piece of video marked homework.

We normally charge £100 monthly for the program, but for those who join now we are offering it with 20% discount.

Once you have signed up and paid for your chosen package for English, the next page will ask if you want to sign up for Maths. Follow the instructions on this page.

How do the sessions work?

All lessons are on Zoom and students interact with the teacher. We take it in turns to read out our work, ask questions and share ideas with the group. Your child will have the opportunity to share their work, receive peer feedback and also feedback from the teacher. Cameras must be on to ensure engagement!

Who teaches the lessons?

All English sessions are taught by Tom whilst all Maths sessions are taught by Victoria.
